Interview with Ayahuasca Shaman Alberto Manqueriapa

Interview with Ayahuasca Shaman Alberto Manqueriapa

While in the jungle of Peru, I had the amazing opportunity to film Alberto Manqueriapa, a revered ayahuasca shaman from the nearby village of Santa Rosa de Huacaria. We met up with him on the streets of Pilcopata where he took us to a room where he occasionally when on business in the main town. His use of plants for healing serve two fold, for both healing the body and for the mind. For generations this sacred knowledge was passed down only to those who were able to fully commit and dedicate themselves to the path of a shaman. In these jungles everything comes alive, and for those sensitive enough to understand everything from the tiniest of animals to the largest of trees can speak to you with wisdom and it’s truthful balance in where it fits in with the rest of the universe.
